2020.
What a year it has been.
As an industry, construction was one of the lucky ones, and as a company (despite the confusion of the year) we have many things to celebrate!
Over the course of the chaotic year, we completed lots of great and innovative projects across the greater Geelong region.
This year we saw the completion of a huge milestone project, The Court Precinct at Sacred Heart College (a project we’ve been working on since 2017), and other great projects like the Bella Wiyn Birralee Family Centre, Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary School refurbishment, St. Joseph’s College Performing Arts Extension and more.
We also saw big achievements in safety, quality, environment, and sustainability this year. After a massive effort by our team, we achieved the following:
- Achieved ISO 9001:2015 (Quality)
- Transitioned to ISO 45001:2018 (Safety)
- Maintained ISO 14001:2015 (Environment)
Additionally, this year we were awarded our first Green Star rating! The 6 Star Rating for Highton Child & Family Centre was a massive achievement for the team and demonstrated our commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Outside of ‘business’ achievements, we were thrilled to continue our long-term sponsorships, including our Gold Sponsorship of Give Where You Live and Category Sponsorship of the Medium to Large Business Award at the Geelong Business Excellence Awards. This year especially, we were humbled to do our part to give back to the community, especially under the tricky circumstances of 2020.
So, what’s next?
We started some great projects in 2020, including the Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club, the Loyola Administration Centre, Bellbrae Primary School, and Newcomb Park Primary School. We are so excited to see these projects progress throughout 2021!
Additionally, we’re pumped to get stuck into work at Holy Family School and the Stages 2B & 3 works at Iona College in 2021.
