Lyons Construction Chairperson, Norm Lyons is delighted to take this opportunity to celebrate the hard work achieved over the last 93 years since the company was established. We acknowledge that it is important to learn from our past, focus on the future and we feel now is the right time for change.
We have been working very hard on our business strategy and as part of planning for our future, as of today a business restructure will come into effect at Lyons Construction.
The restructure reflects our core values of excellence and people, which will assist us in building a vibrant successful and strong community.
There are three main structural changes that aim to improve the way we work in the future.
We introduce:
– Steve Lyons, Managing Director
Steve’s role in leading the team will comprise on focusing on the organisations business development, culture, and performance.
– Gary Iacono, Operations Manager (Interim)
Gary will be our interim Operations Manager until his retirement takes place when the time is right. As part of Gary’s role he will manage Estimating, Operations (Contract Managers, Site Supervisors & Labourers) along with Project Costings. Gary’s focus will be to stabilize operations, Integrate Operations Process, and assist with training the Operations Manager.
– Allan Pont, Governance Manager.
Allan having worked within the organisation and achieved integration of our HSEQ management system to certification, was the logical choice for the new role of Governance Manager. The role will see the introduction of the broader application of managing the organisations risks, and see him manage our Finance, HSEQ, Marketing, IT, HR & Reception functions. Allan’s initial focus will be supporting our Operations Manager to provide the best support and people, striving to harmonise our internal communication and decision-making process, whilst building on recognition and reward.
