Site Visit at Bellbrae PS with Darren Cheeseman MP

Yesterday, we were so thrilled to be able to take the Member for South Barwon, Darren Cheeseman, representatives from Case Mealin and Morton Dunn and staff and students from Bellbrae Primary school through the new two-storey Learning/STEM Centre.

Just one stage of this huge project, the Learning/ STEM Centre will house six general classrooms, a STEM classroom, an art classroom, two withdrawal spaces, two offices and a lift.

Taking the client through the project as it progresses is always a fun part of the construction process. While we get to show off the hard work of our team, excitement builds as the client sees the dedication going into making their investment come to life.

With this brand new building featuring a designated STEM room, art room, general classrooms, amenities, staff offices, performing arts room, new canteen and gym facilities, the school will be set to grow for the future.

We stood taking in the view of the rolling hills on the second storey where large windows will offer these sweeping views to the students lucky enough to learn in this building.

This stage of our project represents a huge government investment in the Surfcoast growth area – $11.48 million to be exact with the construction of a competition-grade gym and performing arts centre still to commence. These buildings will effectively double the size of the existing school and ensure the teachers can offer state-of-the-art education in state-of-the-art facilities.

This site visit was a wonderful chance for all parties to see a snapshot of the Lyons Construction process.
