About the project

The Bellarine Aquatic Centre was the first indoor pool complex to be built in Ocean Grove and provides a service to the whole of the Bellarine Peninsula. The project required careful management as the pools were constructed at the same time as the building structure.

The centre comprises a 25m x 8 lane lap pool, 15m x 8m learners pool, a splash pool with Aquaplay playground, toddler pool, toilet, and change room facilities, a new entry, reception, café, upgrade to the existing building, and landscaping.

The project incorporates complex water heating and filtration systems for the pools, and façade panels to the exterior of the building that were used for the first time in Victoria.
