The Inquiry Centre was purpose-built for the Junior School at Kardinia International College in Geelong.
The building contains a library, computer area, stage, staff offices, amenities, children’s work areas, and a large home economics zone. The exterior’s intricate, colourful, and angular design is achieved through the use of numerous materials including fiberglass cladding normally used for boat construction.
The intricate design continues into the interior, with numerous ceiling types, including exposed and perforated Atkar ceiling panels. These materials coupled with raked ceiling heights provide a unique effect.
At the 2013 Master Builders Association of Victoria Regional Building Awards, we were awarded the Excellence in Construction – Commercial Buildings $1M – $3M and the Commercial Builder of the Year – South West awards for this project.
