Designed by education experts, Minx Architecture, Holy Family Primary School required demolition, refurbishment and extension works at their existing premises on Separation Street in Bell Park.
Lyons Construction was contracted to develop the school’s new administration facilities, student amenities, learning spaces, external works and services and the construction of a new learning centre. The refurbishment and extension include a spacious, light-filled, open-plan learning centre including a student kitchenette, amenities and joinery.
The existing roof line was maintained as an internal feature through the length of the corridor, which eventually extends to the existing ridge line in the learning centre. The existing structure consisted of multiple generations of buildings, resulting in a lot of unknowns and challenges to overcome.
Lyons Construction expertly managed the project with the primary school remaining fully operational throughout the construction of the project.
