2021 – Master Builders Victoria’s Regional Building Awards

2021 Master Builders Victoria South West Regional Building Awards Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings over $10.5M for The Court Precinct at Sacred Heart College project.

Lyons Construction is extremely proud to have been recognised for our efforts by the Master Builders Association of Victoria for our work on The Court Precinct at Sacred Heart College.

The Court Precinct for Sacred Heart College has been architecturally designed by Geelong-based architect, McGlashan Everist with minimalist elements contrasted with high-quality finishes. The exposed pre-cast concrete columns are a feature of the space both internally and externally, which houses 13 general learning areas, five science labs, 2D and 3D art, electronics, makers, fibres and fabrics spaces, collaborative, and breakout spaces, gathering spaces, staff rooms, amenities, and a striking brass café.

Extensive external works were undertaken including the construction of a northern pergola exiting the atrium to the north and linking back within the heart of the campus. This paved thoroughfare is dubbed ‘The Way’ and a large-grassed quadrant is situated adjacent. Cast bronze discs have been installed celebrating historical milestones of the College.

A special thank you to the wonderful team at D G Jones Australia for their expertise on this project.  Like all achievements at Lyons Construction, it was a team effort and we acknowledge and congratulate all Lyons Construction team members and contractors for their technical expertise, determination, an commitment to excellence which resulted in such an outstanding outcome.
