Recently the very first virtual Geelong Business Excellence Awards were held.
Given the craziness that 2020 has brought (especially to businesses), the event was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of local businesses, despite the craziness of the year.
Fun fact: we’ve been a sponsor of the Geelong Business Excellence Awards for almost 20 years! After taking out the top prize at the 2003 ceremony we decided to become a sponsor – and have been ever since!
As a long-term sponsor, we were thrilled to award Boomaroo Nurseries with the Lyons Construction Medium to Large Business or Division/Department of a Business award.
Boomaroo Nurseries have been operating as part of the Geelong business community for over 30 years. As an organisation, they’re one of Australia’s largest seedling supplier, providing world-class seedlings and Greenlife.
We’d also like to specifically congratulate Manse Group for their win in the Home-based & Micro Business category. Jake from Manse Group is an ex-Lyons Construction employee who went on to build his own business and we couldn’t be prouder of this awesome achievement for him.
This is a massive achievement for both Boomaroo Nurseries and Manse Group. And to all the nominees and winners in other categories, we’d like to give our most sincere congratulations!
