Geelong Business Excellence Awards 2020 Launch

Every year the Geelong Chamber of Commerce celebrates the Geelong business community with the Geelong Business Excellence Awards. This Wednesday night, we were honoured to attend the launch of the 2020 Awards at Provenance Wines.

The launch this year saw speeches from esteemed Geelong-based professionals including Mayor Stephanie Asher, CEO of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, Ben Flynn and Major Sponsors’ representatives from LBW Business + Wealth Advisors and Deakin University who discussed the positive change in the local business community over recent years.

The launch also saw the premiere of the 2020 promotional video featuring one of our current worksites and some of our talented staff.

As proud sponsors of the event once again, (we’ve been sponsors ever since we took out Overall Winner at the awards in 2003) we are excited to shine a light on the clever, creative and thriving businesses within the Geelong region. This time around, we’re sponsoring the Medium to Large Business category.

So, why do we continue to support these awards?

For us, these awards are the perfect way for us to show our gratitude to the Geelong community. Having been a part of the Geelong business landscape for over 90 years, we enjoy being able to use our platform to encourage and inspire other local businesses.

We pride ourselves on our relationships with the amazing construction suppliers and subcontractors throughout Geelong, but one of our favourite things about these awards is learning more about Geelong’s other industries. As the awards support businesses of all sizes and across all industries, they provide a great opportunity for us to engage with and learn more about local businesses outside of the construction industry.

Overall, the launch created much excitement for the upcoming awards, and we would like to wish all those entering the best of luck.
