About the project

The Geelong Technical Education Centre (GTEC) is a spacious 2,390m2  two-storey education facility. The building has many design features that contribute to its striking appeal and a range of products are utilsed both inside and out.

The external walls include precast concrete, alucobond cladding, corrugated ‘colorbond’ cladding, render, and compressed fibre cement sheet.

The eye-catching interior is finished using custom-made joinery, vinyl, sealed concrete, and multi-coloured carpeted floors and a range of ceiling types are utilised including acoustic tiles, sheet plasterboard, Renhurst Ripplefoil, exposed ceilings, and Atkar Audipanel.

Our work on this project saw us win the Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings $3M – $6M award at the 2013 Master Builders Association of Victoria Regional Building Awards.
